It's this time of the year again for the AAVA Cup 2012! It's a league hosted by Ayala Alabang and participants are from all districts around Alabang with the exemptions of guest players and guest teams (UNICORNS and San Beda College Alabang). I joined this league 3 years ago and it's my 3rd year here now and I really enjoy playing here. The court is nice and the crowd is great! It is street/kalye volleyball at its finest. Last year, I was part of the La Salle Alumni team but as we have revamped our line-up this year, we've decided to participate as another team as we like to call ourselves team UNICORNS. (don't ask where it came from, because frankly, I also don't know as well.) What's interesting about this line-up is that it is composed of players from both La Salle and Ateneo de Manila. Who would've thought right? Despite the heated rivalry in the collegiate wars, we all remain good friends off-court. We've decided to play as one team and we're thinking of actually forming a competitive team if we get good results from this league. I hope we do because I really like this team. Let's see! hehe
